Photography is modern magic; I am still amazed when the pictures come out.

My advice to anyone studying photography is, to beware the illusion that you have to have the latest camera, the newest and fastest computer, in order to make good photographs.

All you have to really do is get out there, find a good idea in the right light and shoot it, or as Weegee said best, I think, "f/16 and be there."

But it doesn't matter how many of the latest and greatest toys you have unless you can use them effectively to execute a simple vision, and to get the picture that works. More often than not, it's true that less is more.

I think that keeping it simple is the basis of most successful photographs.
